Being up at the River is about as good as it gets! I can come to the library on our little boat and get work done too. But now its time to go back to doing nothing.... I got to hang out with my roomate Nick Oster at his place a little down river. Headed to "The River" tomorrow for two weeks! I am soooo psyched! For those of you who don't know, The River refers to the St. Lawerence River in upstate NY, where Lake Ontario ends and the St. Lawerence begins. There are a ton of islands there and I am fortunate enough to have a vacation spot there. Here are a couple of photos that give you some idea of how freakin sweet it is: I can't wait for the 7 hour drive to be over and be on the Island, away from it all.... Too bad I have a bunch of work to do while I'm up there. I guess thats why I bought my laptop!

Hey everyone....just wanted to tell you that GyreWire Studios is now registered as an official business in Cambridge MA!  Yay!  This means I can now write off this awesome laptop that I just bought as a business expense.  Sweet.  As a side note, I can now make money legally as a business.  Sole proprietorship is cool, i would suggest everyone get their own business....

Well, I spent a bunch of time working on an XML reader for my flash portfolio, so that I could use Blogger.com's great service there too.  I was able to figure out how to read in the XML and pick through all the erroneous data that I didn't want, but I was unable to format that text with CSS within Flash.....There is also some HTML tags that shouldn't show in the text area, but of course they do anyway. 

Bugger....  Maybe when I have some more time I will work on that again, but for now this blog will have to suffice.  Maybe I will make a more simple, more professional web site to go along with it!  I guess that will have to wait until I have more time as well.

Why is it that your work always comes in last place while your clients get all of your attention?  'Tis the way of things I guess.  Welp, time for work, until next time......

Ahhh...victory is sweet!  I finally got the flash/xml working for my blog.  Now all I have to do is format it correctly.  Hopefully I can make it look sweet too! 

Then all I have to do is find some interesting things to blog about.  That could be more difficult that getting the flash blog to work.  I am such a nerd....
